FAQs

Is this a medical device?
No. Antarctica chambers are intended for non-medical wellness, recovery, and athletic performance. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
How is this different from open-head cryo?
Open-head units cool the body with the head above the rim. The whole-body Antarctica is fully enclosed (head inside) and circulates breathable cold air created via an external nitrogen heat-exchange system—no nitrogen vapor enters the cabin.
What session times are typical?
Most facilities program 1–3 minute sessions based on protocol and user comfort.
Do I need special room equipment?
Yes. Provide room ventilation, an O2 sensor/alarm, and safe routing for the LN₂ supply—follow manufacturer guidance and local codes.

Pro Tip: Keep the LN₂ tank close to the chamber and minimize hose length—shorter runs can reduce nitrogen loss and help the chamber reach target temperatures faster between back-to-back sessions.
